Flight Services & Systems would like to recognize Ramp Agent Evens Emmanuel at Boston Logan International Airport. Evens was awarded a WOW! Award for his actions before a Silver Airways flight. A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspector was trying to breach the flight when Evens prevented them.

The TSA regularly test our employees to ensure we’re vigilant for aircraft security and passenger safety. With flight resuming, the TSA has stepped up their testing and our employees have stepped up their actions. Flight Services & Systems is proud of employees like Evens who maintain a watchful eye. Awesome job, Evens!

Open House for Our GSE Shop at MSY



Flight Services & Systems (FSS) is excited to hold an Open House for our GSE repair and maintenance shop at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). The Open House will take place July 8th to the 9th from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. The Open House is an opportunity to meet our new General Manager Ryan O’Doherty as well as see the capabilities of our GSE shop.

Ryan comes to FSS with over 10 years of aviation experience. He also served in the United States Marine Corps. We are excited to have Ryan onboard.
Our GSE shop will be able to handle the repair and maintenance of:

  • Belt loaders
  • Bag tractors
  • Push tractors
  • GPUs
  • Lav/water
  • Airstarts
  • Container loaders


We’ll also have a on-call GSE repair service as well as painting and reconditioning. For our non-airline neighbors, we’ll have service industrial trucks, tractors, and other equipment like forklifts.

Flight Services & Systems would like to announce that Candice Eatherton (left) and Lucia Delenk (right) have been promoted to Operations Managers for the FSS Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) operations. Candice will be managing Terminal E while Lucia will manage Terminal C.

Recently, Boston Logan International Airport Safety Supervisor Juvenal Sandoval was awarded a WOW! Award. Juvenal received the award for his actions in stopping a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspector from breaching a Silver Airways flight.

The TSA regularly tests our people to ensure we’re vigilant and for passenger safety. As flights resume and air traffic continue to ramp up, so do their efforts. Flight Services & Systems is proud of employees like Juvenal who maintain a watchful eye. Great job, Juvenal!

Flight Services & Systems would like to congratulate Huntington Tri-State Airport (HTS) General Manager Stephanie Brown. She recently completed her Customer Service training at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). Stephanie is now fully trained and qualified for above and below wing service.

We are excited to see Stephanie share her newfound knowledge with her team as well as adding another layer to servicing American Airlines at HTS. Awesome job, Stephanie!

Flight Services & Systems would like to announce that Ryan O’Doherty has been named the new General Manager for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). Ryan joins the FSS team with 14 years of aviation industry experience and knowledge.

Ryan’s aviation career started at Aviation Technical Services in 2006. He performed audits of Artesia Municipal Airport (ATS) facilities for Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and safety regulation compliance. He was also responsible for documenting maintenance records for FAR, the ATS Repair Station Manual, and Customer’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.

Having served in the United States Marine Corp, Ryan brings a strong set of leadership and management skills. FSS is excited to have Ryan on-board and we look forward to seeing what he can do at MSY.

Flight Services & Systems is excited to welcome Kyle Henn to our team. Kyle is our new Staff Accountant and will be working closely with Corporate Controller Carl Stepic. He comes to FSS with close to 14 years of accounting experience.

Kyle started his accounting career at FirstMerit Bank where he supervised the teller line as well as being accountable for large sums of money. Most recently, Kyle was an Accounting Analyst where he handled the requisition and disposal of fixed assets as well as various reconciliations. With his expertise in reconciliations, auditing, and accounts payable and receivable, FSS is thrilled to have Kyle on board.

Kyle is a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s in Accounting.

Flight Services & Systems would like to announce that Evian Medrano has been named as the new General Manager for Palm Beach International Airport. Evian comes to FSS with 20+ years of aviation industry experience. She started her career as a customer service agent for British Airways in 1998.

Most recently, Evian served as an airport duty manager for British Airways. As an airport duty manager, she supervised safety and compliance reviews and audits. One audit was for all aspects of ground operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Miami International Airport (MIA), and Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). Evian also has a deep knowledge of immigration rules and U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations. She has her associate's degree from Queensborough Community College. With her wealth of industry knowledge and experience, FSS is excited to have Evian on the team.

FSS Employee Spotlight - Ryan Horvath

Flight Services & Systems would like to recognize Communications Manager Ryan Horvath. Since joining FSS in January, Ryan has done a tremendous job of building our social media following and designing and updating our marketing materials.

His recent work has included sourcing and updating our email contact and mailing lists that now total over 5,000 airline and airport contacts throughout the US. He has also sourced the business development contacts for new bids at all regional and international airports across the country to be notified of any new sales opportunities for FSS to help the company expand its footprint in our current locations and in new airports throughout the US.

Ryan earned his bachelor's degree in Digital Media Design from Baldwin Wallace University.

Welcome Aboard, Zach Cox!


Flight Services & Systems would like to announce that Zach Cox has been named as Operations Manager for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport locations. He will be working closely with newly appointed General Manager Brandi Ellison.

Zach started his aviation career as a finance intern for Hawaiian Airlines in 2014. He also worked as a Ground Service Agent for Alaska Airlines and Airport Services Supervisor for JSX Airlines. Zach is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University with a Master’s in Business administration and Marketing as well as a bachelor’s in Economics. Welcome to the FSS team, Zach!

FSS Employee Spotlight: Michael Abdulkarim

Flight Services & Systems would also like to recognize Accounts Receivable Specialist Michael Abdulkarim. Michael has done a fantastic job with our collections. He has been working with our general managers and business partners to collect past due accounts. In the last two months, Michael has collected $2.5 million with $1.3 million coming in May alone. He has taken a lead role on our P&L calls where he has been more proactive and involved with our general managers and the collection process. As Michael continues to grow in his responsibilities, he has become an important member of the FSS team.
